Ontario One Call and the Association of Ontario Road Supervisors (AORS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen safe excavation awareness, damage prevention education, and professional development across Ontario’s road and public works sectors.
Through this partnership, Ontario One Call and AORS will work together to expand access to practical education, training, and resources that support safe and compliant excavation practices.
Eligible AORS members will have access to preferred pricing for Ontario One Call training and educational resources, including the KnowR!sk and GroundWork courses. These programs are designed to help excavation professionals understand their legal responsibilities under the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, 2012, while building the practical knowledge needed to prevent damage and support safer excavation practices.

As Ontario continues to invest in housing, transportation, municipal infrastructure, and growing communities, protecting underground infrastructure is essential to keeping projects moving safely and efficiently. Damage prevention helps reduce service disruptions, avoid unnecessary delays and costs, and protect the workers and communities involved in delivering this important work.
Road and public works professionals play an essential role in building, maintaining, and improving the infrastructure that connects communities across Ontario. From road construction and maintenance to major municipal infrastructure projects, their work helps support the safe and reliable movement of people, goods, and essential services throughout the province.

By bringing together AORS’s expertise in Ontario’s road and public works sectors with Ontario One Call’s damage prevention education and resources, this partnership will help advance safe excavation practices and support the responsible growth of communities across the province.
Together, Ontario One Call and AORS are reinforcing a simple but essential message: Click Before You Dig. It’s the Law.
