Ontario One Call Releases Updated Rules for Underground Infrastructure Owners and Excavators

Ontario One Call has published the newly approved Ontario One Call Rules for Underground Infrastructure Owners and Excavators. These updates reflect annual clarifications, formatting improvements, and necessary amendments aligned with recent changes to the Ontario Underground Infrastructure Notification System Act, accompanying regulations, and OOC’s Memorandum of Understanding obligations.

This year’s revisions include updates related to dedicated locator projects, enhanced processes for sharing compliance information with administrative authorities that have overlapping jurisdiction, and refined definitions to support these changes.

These enhancements support greater coordination between regulatory bodies and help advance worker and public safety across Ontario, reinforcing our collective commitment to safe digging and damage prevention.

The updated Rules are now available under the Compliance & Industry Performance page on ontarioonecall.ca.
