Course Overview

The online GroundWork Pro: Dedicated Locator certificate is designed for people who are using or considering using Dedicated locator (DL) for their next large-scale project.

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

  • Determine if Dedicated Locator is the right choice for your next
    project.
  • Express confidence about the DL process.
  • Determine the role you will play in a future DL project.

Module 1: Introduction

Module 2: Utilizing Dedicated Locator

  • 9 possible statuses in the Ontario One Call Portal
  • How DL uses suppressions
  • Dedicated Locator ID and how to use them

Module 3: Best Practices

  • Communication channels and how they can breakdown
  • Improving communication channels
  • Tips to avoid common communication breakdowns

ONLINE COURSE DURATION
The estimated learning time is 30 minutes. Learners have 60 days to complete the modules and the final exam. During the 60 days, learners can go through every module at their own pace. If the learner hasn’t completed the program within 60 days, the learner will need to complete all the modules again.


PASS MARK
To obtain the certificate of completion, learners must score 80% on the final exam. They have unlimited retry attempts and review capabilities to achieve a passing mark.


CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Upon successfully completing this course, certificates are available for download and printing. Certificates are valid for 3 years from the completion date indicated on the certificate. During this period, learners have unlimited ability to revisit and review the course.
